How a Multi-Agent Content Workflow Works

One prompt that researches, writes, edits and fact-checks does all four badly. A multi-agent workflow gives each job to a narrow role and passes the work between them, like a small editorial team.

The four roles

  1. 01Researcher: gathers sources and key points, with links.
  2. 02Writer: turns the brief and research into a draft in your voice.
  3. 03Editor: tightens structure, cuts repetition, checks the brief was met.
  4. 04Checker: verifies every factual claim against the research and flags what it cannot confirm.

Why narrow roles work better

Each role gets a short prompt with one job and one standard. It is easier to see which step went wrong, and you can improve the editor without touching the writer.

Pass structured handoffs

Between roles, pass a fixed format — research notes with sources, a draft with section headings, an edit list — rather than loose text. Structure is what stops errors compounding.

Keep the human at the end of the chain

The workflow produces a draft and a list of unverified claims. You make the final edit and decide what publishes. Nothing in the chain publishes on its own.
