A mistake you made, a number from your own work, a conversation with a client. One specific detail does more than any rewrite.
2. Cut the throat-clearing
Delete openings like “In today’s fast-paced world”. Start with the point or the story.
3. Take a position
AI balances every view. Say what you actually think and why — readers follow people, not summaries.
4. Vary the rhythm
AI writes paragraphs of similar length and structure. Break one into a single line. Merge two. Read it aloud and fix what sounds mechanical.
5. Remove the tells
- Lists of three adjectives
- “It’s not just X, it’s Y”
- Ending every section with a summary sentence
- Words you would never say in conversation
